Child Development Centers, Inc. is committed to bringing the highest quality early childhood education and care to our children and their families. We regularly update our curriculum to align with national and state accreditation standards and are developing new enrichment program offerings to meet the needs of our community.
We believe that all children are talented, capable and special, whether they enjoy music or reading, or whether they want to be a policeman, fireman, a princess or a ballerina. Because we know that children learn best when they are actively engaged, Child Development Centers, Inc. gives children many activities to involve them in concepts and to empower them to find the ways to learn what is right for them. Then we provide plenty of space and time to explore, along with a lot of support, love, and of course, fun.
Curriculum
A curriculum is like a GPS or a roadmap, it helps you get where you want
to go. A curriculum is the what, why, how and when of providing a high
quality program.
Child Development Centers, Inc. uses the Creative Curriculum for
infants, toddlers, two's and preschool ®.
The Creative Curriculum assists staff in
implementing developmental appropriate practices which means teaching in
ways that match the way children develop and learn. It applies
knowledge of child development and how children learn, knowledge of the
individual needs, strengths, and interests of each child and knowledge of
the social and cultural environment in which each child lives.
A good curriculum like the Creative Curriculum includes goals and
objectives for children's learning in all areas of development:
social/emotional, physical, cognitive and language. It rests on a
solid foundation of theory and research. It helps us make good
decisions about the routines and experiences we provide for the children.
