The Franklin Child Development Center is the 1st center in Venango County to be NAEYC accredited and has been for 5 years. The Franklin center is also a Star 4 site within the Pennsylvania Keystone Stars Program which is the highest rating for quality. Franklin Child Development Center operates within the highest educational standards for staff, curriculum and safety. This historical building has 9 classrooms to meet the increasing developmental stages of all the children. Our preschool rooms are also PA Department of Education certified and the lead teachers hold degrees in education. We have an indoor gymnasium that will accommodate a large variety of activities for the children when they are unable to get outdoors and is also used for gym with our Wellness Instructor. Child Development Centers, Inc. also has a literacy coach that works with small groups of children to improve literacy skills.
The Franklin Child Development Center is located in beautiful downtown Franklin within walking distance of several locations such as local parks, playgrounds, the library, ice cream shop, and grocery stores, which are just a few of the places that children can walk to explore their community. This is a safe neighborhood that allows the classrooms to go for walks on a regular basis. Our Facility also includes 2 divided playgrounds for age appropriate play. Our program serves nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and snack daily.
