Taking my son to Cranberry CDC is great because they are very concerned about his well being. He has a couple medical concerns and they dont treat me like a paranoid parent. They understand his concerns and are trained to deal with them. I can go to work and know that my child is safe. I know that they would do exactly what i would for him in his time of need. Also, as a single mom they know that sometimes its not possible to get everything done and they have a wonderful afterschool program that helps my son complete his homework before i get there, that way my free time with him can be spent doing the fun things!

CDC is more than just a daycare, it is a rich learning environment where the focus is on our children’s emotional, social, physical and cognitive development. CDC has played a positive role in the development of our 2 and 4 year old children from their beginning years as dependent infants to the independent little people that they are today.
Whether it is learning to take their first steps, potty training, using manners, or learning their alphabet, the teachers are there for the children every step of the way.
Our children are excited to return to the center each and every day. Their eagerness to learn is evident and they know there is always something fun awaiting them. Just a few of their favorite things were the trip to the zoo, fire department, police department, post office, 4-H Fair, airport and AppleFest. Other activities include the playground, gym with Mr. Andy, healthy initiatives with Nurse Ann, circle time, dramatic play, reading books, painting and strolling through town on a sunny day. The teachers have instilled in our children a real desire to learn through fun activities.
Communication between parent and teachers is highly encouraged at the center. The teachers and administrators are always available to discuss any questions or concerns that we are having with our children. We attend parent-teacher conferences where we can further discuss our children’s progress in detail.
We are confident that CDC is utilizing all available resources to adequately prepare our children for a smooth transition to kindergarten and to provide a solid foundation for a lifetime of learning.

When I decided to put my kids into a child care
facility so I could return to work, I knew it had to be a place that would take
care of my kids as well as I do. I worked in child care for a while, so I knew
about the Keystone Stars Program and NAEYC Accreditation; I looked for a program
with those achievements and I found it with Child Development Centers. I knew
after my first visit that CDC was exactly what I was searching for and what my kids deserve.
My senses were stimulated that first visit; Bright colors, happy sounds, plentiful activities with cheerful teachers, and a clean smell everywhere. The only thing I didn’t do was taste the food (but my kids assure me that they like it). I have never been disappointed with my choice and many days I think my kids have learned more at “school” than I would have been able to teach them at home. I hope everyone with children at one of the Child Development Center locations is as happy with their choice as I am.
